The Department has amended LAC 7:XIII. Chapters 7 and 12 to provide updates to the Bahia Grass Seed Certification Standards, Sugarcane Certification Standards, and Sweet Potato Certification Standards. The Hemp Seed Certification Standards are being proposed for adoption. This Rule puts the Department more in line with the National Association of Official Seed Certifying Agencies (AOSCA) standards. The Notice of Intent for the proposed Rule was published in the Louisiana Register at LR:51:7, pages 971-980 (July 20, 2025). This Rule was adopted and became effective upon its publication in the October edition of the Louisiana Register (October 20, 2025).
